The Wyoming Walleye Stampede and Rocky Mountain Discount Sports are sponsoring a one day fishing tournament for several lucky CNFR contestants out at Pathfinder Reservoir this Thursday.

The cheers were heard throughout the arena this morning as the lucky chosen names were drawn and announced from a pool of 90+ contestants hoping to get a chance to try and catch BIG fish in Wyoming.  30 CNFR contestants will get the chance to fish in this first annual tournament and will be gathering in the parking lot of Rocky Mountain Discount Sports Thursday morning at 8am, where Stampede members will have their tournament boats lined up and prepared to head to Pathfinder Res. for some tournament fun.

This is a live release tournament and no fish will be harvested.  Fish will be measured and released via a tournament style weigh boat and photos will be taken as proof of their successful catch.

The contestants will head out to Pathfinder Res. after gathering their licences, gear and bait for the day.  Following the day of fishing and hoping to land a big walleye or trout, the contestants will head down the hill to Sloan's General store in Alcova around 1 pm for a little lunch and to hand out trophies and prizes to those lucky enough to land big fish.

Then it will be back to the arena to prepare for nightly performance #3 and Wear Pink night of the CNFR at the Casper Events Center.

The CNFR hosts contestant activities around town all week long, from the Softball and Golf tournaments and the always popular CNFR Style Show, these contestants who come to Casper from all over the US have a very busy schedule.  Trying to prepare for their turn in the Casper Events Center arena at the "Rose Bowl" of College Rodeo and relax in between go rounds.

Ticket for the rodeo performances are available at the CEC box office as well as online at CNFR.com
