The Mills Police Department has confirmed to K2 Radio News that they are searching for a missing 3-year-old boy.

His name is Xavier Lyons.

A press conference took place at 1pm today at the Mills Police Department. Fire Chief Tony Giles and Police Corporal Bryan McLimore said the call went out this morning about 8am.

They said the boy was simply not in his bed when his parents woke up. There was no sign of force and the presumption is he wandered off.

A Command Center has been set up at the corner of Badger and Pontiac Streets.

Police, Fire Department and a host of volunteers are combing the area off Poison Spider Road. The Salvation Army has a mobile canteen on sight, and the search continues.

We spoke with the boy's mother, Lori Kosmann, who says he was in his bed during the night and gone Saturday morning.

He was wearing red boxers with white trim, and possibly Spiderman shoes.
