On Sunday morning September 18th, reports started coming into area law enforcement agencies about a moose wandering the streets of a west side subdivision in Casper. Although not unheard of, reports of moose in the Casper area are few and far between with the last reported sighting being 4 years ago. Speculation from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department is that the young bull moose was from the Big Horn Mountains and was traveling through the area looking for a mate and greener pastures. Because of the possibility of a harmful encounter, for moose or the general public, it was decided that the moose would be darted, tranquilized and relocated. All went without a problem and the 2 year old moose was released back into the Big Horns from whence he came.

Here is a home video of the moose wandering the streets just west of Robertson Road.
