If there's anything that the Country Music Industy has taught us; it's that it's never too early to start talking awards.

CMT has just announced that Eric Church, Easton Corbin, and Randy Houser have been nominated in the Academy of Country Music's top new solo vocalist category.  For the top new duo or group category, they have Steel Magnolia, The Band Perry, and the JaneDear Girls in the running.

The winners in each category will be determined through both fan voting and Academy ballots.  They will then compete against each other for the "Best New Artist" award.

Hope that doesn't sound too confusing.

The remaining ACM nominations will be revealed in February.  The show itself will air live from Las Vegas on April 3rd.

Online voting in both the new solo vocalist, and new duo or group categories begins January 27th at VoteACM.com.  Best new artist voting begins March 11th.
