..."First Host of an Awards Show in 2011" goes to...Reba McEntire!  (crowd goes wild!)

The Country Music darling is set to host the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on April 3rd, alongside...wait for it...wait for it...Blake Shelton!

This will be Blake's first turn as an award show host, so it's pretty cool that he gets to play off someone as talented and seasoned as Reba.

At the press release, Blake shared:

"This is an incredibly special moment for me. I am humbled that Reba invited me to co-host The ACM Awards with her. She is not only a mentor to me but a true friend. She continually supports other artists, which is a testament really to her beauty and talent." Shelton adds, laughing, "You will definitely have to tune-in and check it out. With the two of us together on live TV, you never know what we might say!"

Blake is becoming famous not only for his music, but also for his sense of humor which he often displays in interviews and on his "twitter" page.  It could certainly make for some great dynamics between the pair.

The 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on CBS.
