Chilly temperatures have spread across the state. Highs today will be mainly in the 30s and 40s with a few lower 50s in the southwest. The cold front that brought in the much cooler temperatures is now well to our south and has left behind a fairly dry air mass. Other
A cold front will travel through the state today. Northern locations will only see highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Southern areas will see highs reach in the 60s, but as the front pushes south temperatures there will cool into the 50s later this afternoon.
It will be a warm, windy day across much of the state. Strong west to southwest winds will gust to 35 and 40 mph at times. This wind and the sun will allow temperatures to rise into the 70s to near 80 in most areas.
There is still enough of atmospheric moisture around for a few light showers and a couple of weak thunderstorms to form around the state today through Sunday. Most of them will be over the higher terrain.
As we continue to tap into moisture coming in from the Pacific and as a slow moving upper level weather system continue to slowly swirl through the atmosphere, the state will continue to be in line for scattered showers.
A passing weather disturbance and stalled frontal system will keep showers in the forecast for today and tonight in southern, southeastern and central Wyoming. Scattered showers will also be found in the far west. W
With the exception of the northwest corner, the day started out with bountiful sunshine across the state. Clouds will move in and thicken up as the day wears on and with that there will be a chance for scattered showers once again.
We are finally seeing a change in our weather pattern. An area of low pressure coming in from the Pacific will allow showers to form in western Wyoming today. This slow moving weather system heads east and will bring showers to central and southern portions of the state later today and tonight.
The weather will be super to be outdoors in the Cowboy State this weekend. The ridge of high pressure that has been in place will not budge for the next two to three days. It will be mostly sunny to sunny with some areas of haze in portions of the state.
The sun will continue to shine brightly across the state for the next couple of days. High pressure overhead continues to dominate our weather which will lead to more of the same weather conditions today and Friday.
