Following multiple large fires this year, plus extensive work to mitigate impacts from bark beetles over the past few years, most roads, trails, campgrounds and picnic areas are now open on the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland (MBRTB).

Not a lot of information is being released at this time, however both Albany county Sheriff’s Dispatch and officials of Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest confirm that plumes of smoke seen southwest of Laramie on Monday, are from a new wildfire.
