A young black bear will roam elsewhere in the forest along Casper Mountain.

Just before 8:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11th, Wyoming Game and Fish Wardens were able to find and tranquilize the black bear that had been in the base area on the north side of Casper Mountain for the past 3 weeks.

The Game and Fish Department had received numerous tips about the bear being in the area.

Earlier this week, a Game and Fish Department spokesperson said the bear was a candidate for relocation, because it has not gotten into trouble and did not appear to be habituated to people.
