Blake Shelton Attempting to Use Different Accents Will Make Your Day [Watch]
Blake Shelton's accent is just one of the very distinguishable things about the Oklahoma native, but wouldn't it be funny if he were British? Or Spanish?
The singer stopped by the back door of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, where he experimented with different accents and voices in a little game called 'The Blake Shelton Accent Game.'
The 'Neon Light' singer was born and raised in Ada, Oklahoma, and the country town is responsible for his thick, twangy accent. It's easy to turn on country radio and pick out just which songs Shelton is responsible for, just by accent alone. But during this game, the singer was asked to read the names of his songs from 'Bringing Back the Sunshine' while pretending he is from places that are much different than the little town of Ada.
His first attempt? Being a New Yorker ... which he admitted sounded a little more like Rodney Dangerfield than anything. Shelton also got to try his best Valley Girl voice, but it wasn't until he was asked to say 'Gonna' in a British accent that he really struggled.
"I can't say 'Gonna' in British," the singer says, jokingly adding, "this is the worst game ever."
