Let’s be frank: the Internet can be a grim, depressing place, full of people having sex with gross things and horrible comments. But every once in a while, it does something good. Case in point: Caine’s Arcade. When 9-year-old Caine Monroy built an arcade out of cardboard in the front of his father’s used auto parts store, it was cute. When a Los Angeles filmmaker organized a flashmob of hundreds of people to come play his games, it was awesome.

If you don’t have at least a few tears in your eyes from watching that, you’re a cold, hard man (or woman — we assume woman read this website). Filmmaker Nirvan Mullick has also set up a college fund for young Caine, so chip in a buck or two to that and help this budding engineer grow. And stop by the Arcade if you’re in Los Angeles on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
