It wasn't yesterday, it was the day before yesterday, when Carrie Underwood performed the Beatles classic "Yesterday" at this year's Emmy Awards.  Shortly after, Twitter blew up with a slew of comments, some of them, not so good.

This was a performance in remembrance of the year 1963, the year that JFK was shot.  While some thought Carrie's performance was "all mighty powerful," other tweets were not so kind...  “Some people never forget  where they were when JFK got shot, but I will never forget where I was when  Carrie Underwood murdered The Beatles”   “Nobody should try to cover a  Beatles song. I absolutely love Carrie Underwood but that was just  bad..."  wow, brutal, even though Carrie had Sir Paul McCartney's blessing to perform the song!

What do you think of Carrie's performance?
