Casper College will soon start searching for a new president.

Current President Dr. Walter Nolte has announced that he will retire at the end of June 2015.

He became the college's President in July 2004, following the retirement of LeRoy Strausner.

Among his achievements during his tenure as president include the largest enrollment in college history, an increase in the number of full-time faculty, the creation of the largest service learning program in the state; and an increase in international students attending,

Those accomplishments among others has resulted in the growth of the college’s physical campus with the addition of five new buildings.

There will be an open board meeting on Thursday, August 21st, starting at 5pm in Room 312 of the College's Gateway Building, to select the firm that will help the College Board determine the next President.
