The Casper Events Center next week will kick off a series of events in an effort to raise money for charities, raise awareness of good causes and spread holiday cheer in the Casper community.

The first annual 'Season of Giving' begins Wednesday, Nov. 29 with a food drive to benefit the Wyoming Food for Thought Project. It'll be hosted at the SinclairTix Box Office at the Casper Events Center from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; suggested donations include peanut butter and cereal.

Feed the Pets, set for Thursday, Nov. 30 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the SinclairTix Box Office, will benefit the Casper Humane Society. In order to keep animals healthy and clean, folks are invited to donate paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, bleach, and 33-gallon or 13-gallon trash bags.

The Casper Humane Society would also welcome donations of Purina Cat Chow (blue bag), Purina Kitten Chow (yellow bag), Kitten Milk Replacer (formula), Iams Mini Chunks, Iams Puppy Food and wet dog food. Follow this link for a list of other helpful items.

On Friday, Dec. 1, the community can participate in the Toy Drive, which will benefit a number of Casper organizations. It will also be held at the SinclairTix Box Office from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 5 will see the Casper Events Center announce the winner of The Big Ticket sweepstakes at the Ramkota Hotel. Follow this link to enter for a chance to win two tickets and a reserved parking spot for every event at the Casper Events Center in 2018!

Sinclair Casper Refinery has purchased tickets to the Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker, and will donate those tickets to children at local organizations. Donation night is Dec. 7; tickets will include a child-sized popcorn and beverage.

Parents Movie Night is set for Friday, Dec. 8, at the Casper Events Center. Doors open at 6 p.m., and a complimentary popcorn and chocolate bar will be available before the movie starts at 7:30 p.m.

Folks will have an opportunity to vote on which movie is shown that evening. Use this link to vote when voting begins, or suggest your favorite movie via email.

The next evening, Dec. 9, is Family Movie Night at the Casper Events Center. The film starts at 6 p.m.; family-friendly movie selection and more details will be announced soon.

The staff of Spectra Venue Management at the Casper Events Center has worked with local agencies to adopt an anonymous family in need this holiday season. That event is set for Dec. 14.

On Dec. 16, the big man himself will take a few hours out of his busy holiday schedule for Breakfast With Santa, held in the Summit Room of the Casper Events Center. Doors open at 8 a.m., breakfast starts at 9 a.m., cookie decorating sponsored by Reliant Federal Credit Union starts at 9:30 a.m.

Santa will be available for pictures from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Registration is required in advance, and begins on Nov. 24. The limit for this event is 200 participants.

KISS-FM's own DJ Nyke will emcee Teen Night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Activities will include basketball, music, dancing, pool tables and dart boards.
