Casper & Lusk Fundraisers Set For Tom Cardwell of Alcova
Tom Cardwell is a 32 year old Rancher, Husband and Father. He is a fifth generation cattle rancher who grew up in the Pedro Mountains of Wyoming and currently ranches near Lusk, Wyoming.
In February of this year Tom was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma. Shortly after diagnosis he underwent surgery in Casper but they were unable to remove all of the tumor. Because of the type and size of the tumor he was referred to the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO. In April he will begin intensive IL2 immunotherapy in order to shrink his tumor enough to make further surgery less risky.
The Alcova/Bates Hole community that Tom grew up in and the Lusk community in which he and his wife now reside, are banding together to raise money to help with the extra expense that comes with having to travel out of state for treatment.
There are two fundraisers planned. One on May 11th in Lusk, Wyoming and another on May 24th in Casper, Wyoming. Please click on tabs above for more information.
Please visit the Cardwell Family’s Facebook page Saddle Up With The Cardwells and Help Tom Kick Cancer to learn more about Tom’s story and leave some words of encouragement for Tom and his family. Find out more about the Lusk & Casper Fundraisers and how you can help here: Saddle Up With Tom
