In the early morning hours Monday, officers from the Casper Police Department, Natrona County Sheriff’s Office and US Marshal's descended on a residence on Boxelder Street.
They had a warrant for the arrest of 31-year-old Kenneth Eugene Cooper, who was on felony probation for unlawful transportation of firearms.
Officers arrived at 5am Monday at the home of Karly Wayts, and Cooper was arrested.
Once in the home, officers smelled marijuana, and Cooper volunteered that everything in the house was his, and that he hoped there were no guns there.
Police got a search warrant for the home, and inside they found black tar heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, and some drug paraphernalia.
They also found loaded magazines for a .45 caliber Glock handgun.
Cooper was booked on possession and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were informed about the pistol magazines and ammunition. Those charges may be added later.
Cooper is currently in the Natrona County Detention Center.
