Casper Man Arrested for Kicking in Door, Attacking Another Man

A man who police say kicked in an apartment door and assaulted the man who lived there was arrested early Sunday morning.

Christophee E. Andersen, 24, was booked on charges of aggravated assault and unlawful entry into an occupied structure.

Court documents say a detective accompanied a Casper police officer to an apartment for a report of a residential burglary at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday.

Dispatch said after the man living there called 911, the phone line stayed open and dispatch could hear what sounded like one man holding another man on the ground, as well as yelling.

The front door was open when officers arrived, and they could reportedly hear men yelling at each other. They went inside to find the man living in the apartment fighting with Andersen near the fireplace in the living room.

Officers told the men to stop, and the man living in the apartment immediately stopped and put his hands in the air.

But Andersen allegedly didn't listen to officers' commands and punched the other man in the face two more times.

Officers took Andersen to the ground and handcuffed him.

Court documents say officers found a knife with a four-inch blade lying on the carpet next to a blood stain. The victim reportedly had a cut on his cheek and ear, which officers noted would be consistent with a minor knife injury.

The front door had been kicked open. The pattern on the sole of Anderson's shoes reportedly matched the imprint on the door.

The victim was bleeding from the nose, while Andersen was bleeding from the forehead and mouth, according to the affidavit.

Officers could reportedly smell alcohol on Andersen's breath as he continued to yell things such as "I'm going to kill you," "I'm going to have my boys kill you," and "I'm going to smash your head and eat your brains."

Andersen also reportedly made a reference to having been in "Special Forces," according to the affidavit.

Officers put Andersen in the back of a patrol car, where he reportedly beat his head against the plexiglass on the cage.

The victim told police that he was sleeping when he heard knocking and yelling at his front door. He told the person at the door, Andersen, to go away or he'd call the cops.

Andersen allegedly continued to knock and yell, saying things like 'my boys will light you up' and other unintelligible things, according to court documents.

Andersen then allegedly kicked the door in and attacked the victim. The victim managed to get Andersen on the ground and hold him until police showed up.

The knife police found reportedly did not belong to the victim, court documents say.

Officers looked into Andersen's background and found charges pending against him from the Casper Police Department for Family Violence Protection Act assault and false imprisonment from January of 2016.
