Casper Municipal Court will begin collecting all payments for all city ordinance violations beginning Thursday, according to a news release from the city manager's office on Tuesday.

The court has jurisdiction over violation cases filed by the City Attorney’s Office, Casper Police Department, Metro Animal Control and Code Enforcement.

The Customer Service at City Hall, 201 N. David St., will no longer accept fines. Its focus will be on utility services.

The following methods of payment are available:

  • In person: Pay at the Municipal Court Office on the fifth floor of the Hall of Justice, 201 N. David Street. Court hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • By mail: Mail fines to the court. The only acceptable forms of payment are personal checks, cashier’s checks, or money orders. Reference the ticket number on the check.
  • Online: Pay tickets and bonds at www.caspertix.com using a credit or debit card.
  • By phone: Pay tickets and bonds with a credit or debit card by calling (877) 794-1215.

There is one exception to the new payment system.

City parking violations are administratively managed by the city's financial services department.

Parking tickets may be paid at the customer service office at city hall or at Municipal Court.

If someone wants to contest a ticket they also can do so at customer service at city hall or municipal court.

However, if someone wants to just pay a parking ticket, they may do so at the Customer Service office at City Hall.
