Another awesome thing about summer in our great city is the return of Thursday concerts in Washington Park.  There's nothing like spending a warm evening basking in the shade of the bandshell and outlying trees, and listening to the sweet sounds of the Casper Municipal Band.

It's a perfect opportunity to enjoy the greenery and expanse of one of Casper's biggest parks, right in the heart of the city.  Kids run and play. pooches sniff and frolic in the grass.  And all the while an eager audience is subjected to great band music, from classic to contemporary.  It's a real treat!

If you'd like to attend, make sure to come out on Thursday nights beginning this week and running through early August. (subject to weather conditions, of course)  Bring a blanket, a lawn chair, and even a beverage.  Just remember it's a family-friendly evening, so alcohol as well as glass containers are frowned upon.  Make sure Rover is on a leash and well-behaved, and it's also a good idea to show up a little bit early to ensure a good spot.  Washington Park is located on South Mckinley, between 5th and 12th streets.

The concerts begin at 7:30p, normally run a little over an hour, and regularly feature guest performers as an added bonus.

So, if you're looking for another way to experience what our fine city has to offer, we'll see you Thursday evenings for concerts in the park.
