Are we alone in the Universe? An esteemed scientist will be exploring that topic and Casper residents have a unique chance to be a part of that Chicago event, right here at home. The Kavli Fulldome Lecture, hosted by Chicago's Adler Planetarium, will be domecast to the Casper Planetarium on November 3rd.

Thousands of exoplanets have been discovered over the last two decades.  During the presentation Dr. Lisa Kaltenegger, Director of the Carl Sagan Institute at Cornell University, will discuss techniques and missions that could detect life on these worlds, and question how we can determine which of these might be suitable for life.

"Casper audiences will hear Dr. Kaltenegger and see the full-dome visuals just as if they were at the Chicago event, and will be able to participate in the Q & A session via text.
The Kavli Fulldome Lecture Series takes audiences on a journey to the very edges of human knowledge. Adler experts and leading scientists work together to create dazzling, animated images of real data, which are projected onto the planetarium dome creating an immersive experience. The lecture will be live domecast from the Adler Planetarium to museums, planetariums, and universities around the world."
