A woman whose blood alcohol concentration was nearly three times the legal limit for driving was arrested Thursday after driving to Central Wyoming Counseling Center with a baby in her car, court documents say.

Rachel Ann Nystrom, 28, was booked on charges of DUI with child endangerment and driving under suspension. Her blood-alcohol concentration was .22 when she was processed at the Natrona County Detention Center, according to an affidavit.

Charging papers say an anonymous party made a REDDI -- Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately -- call, telling police that Nystrom was driving a red Subaru with a baby inside. The caller reportedly said Nystrom was drunk and was headed to an appointment at Central Wyoming Counseling Center.

Officers arrived at CWCC to find the Subaru in the parking lot. Nearby were Nystrom and the mother of Nystrom's fiancee, who spoke with an officer.

She reportedly said she got a phone call about Nystrom driving while intoxicated with the baby in the vehicle. The woman arrived at CWCC and found Nystrom's car, so she went over and took the baby out of the Subaru and put the child in her own car.

Nystrom allegedly admitted to police that she had a pint of vodka earlier in the day. She later told officers, according to an affidavit, that she had half a pint, later saying it was a "shooter," a "smidge," and then two or three shots.

Dispatch advised that Nystrom had a suspended drivers license from Oregon.

Nystrom was arrested after performing field sobriety tests.
