Are you ready for winter? NOAA has released the 2014-2015 Winter Weather Predictions and above average temperatures may be in store for winter in Casper.

As you can see below, Casper falls close to the line of a 33% chance of being warmer, but is in the "Equal Chances" zone.  According to the NOAA, “equal chance” is another way of saying there is not a strong enough climate signal for our area.

Don't get your hopes up for a mild winter just yet. Casper winters have variable weather patterns with severe snowstorms that quickly appear.  Do you remember Snowpocalypse 2013? Casper also falls in the Equal Chances zone for precipitation, so it could go either way.
