The Cheyenne East Thunderbirds scored early and often as they played host to the Kelly Walsh Trojans in the first round of the 4A Prep football playoffs.

QB Tevis Bartlett scored three touchdowns and made several more plays on defense and led the thunderbirds in racking up 57 points against the trojan defense.

KW QB Marcus Nolan added three touchdowns of his own for the trojans, but it wasn't enough to keep up with the defending state champs.  The trojan football team will now start working towards building and strengthening their young players for next years 2015 season.

Next for Cheyenne East, they play host to the Gillette Camels next Saturday, while NC who rolled past Evanston, will host Sheridan who beat Cheyenne Central.
