A Texas man was arrested for assaulting two family members because they were bugging him about a bug, namely a cockroach he didn't have the heart to kill.

Zachary Paul Thornhill allegedly kicked and punched his mother and stepfather after they started acting like pests and insisting he squash the bug in question. When he couldn't take it any longer, he attacked the pair and broke a window in their home, which led to a visit from the cops.

We've heard of robbery victims ending up stuffed in car trunks, but robbery perpetrators? That's the twist in a couple of heists that went down near Atlanta earlier this week.

A gun-toting Xavier Carter reportedly "popped out of" the trunk of a Ford Taurus in order to help himself to the cell phones and cash of two women who'd strolled past the car not thinking anything was amiss.

Police responding to a call arrested Carter and an accomplice, and also found 10 more cell phones and three laptop computers in the Taurus. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)

A Canadian teenager gave new meaning to the idea of plus-sized clothing - by putting together a graduation dress made of her old math homework.

Kara Koskowich used about 75 assignment papers and a package of post-it notes to create the one-shouldered frock, which even boasts a flouncy, tiered skirt. She told reporters, "I finished it the night before graduation. I did most of it in the last week because I'm that kind of person. I procrastinate." (MSNBC)
