A cold front will travel through the state today.  Northern locations will only see highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s.  Southern areas will see highs reach in the 60s, but as the front pushes south temperatures there will cool into the 50s later this afternoon.

Speaking of temperatures, the cold front will bring below freezing temperatures to much of the state tonight into Thursday morning.  A Freeze Watch is posted for the Big Horn Basin and portions of central and eastern Wyoming this evening through Thursday morning.

Showers will start to move through northern Wyoming today.  As temperatures fall, a rain/snow mix is expected in the lower elevations, with snow over the higher terrain.  Any accumulations in the lower elevations are expected to be light.  Later today and tonight, a few mixed showers and light snow showers will move into the southern portion of the state.

It will be a very chilly day statewide on Thursday with a few lingering light snow showers in the far north.  Thursday night into Friday another cold front moves in.  This second front looks to be strong and looks to contain more moisture.  Showers and mixed showers are expected to become more widespread Friday.
