The University of Wyoming Cowboys Football team should have won thier home coming game this past saturdahy at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie against San Jose State. Instead they lost in overtime 27-20 dropping to (3-4, 1-2). They had it to win. Despite being dominated statistically for three quarters of its Homecoming game on Saturday, Wyoming had an opportunity to defeat San Jose State and snap a two-game losing streak inside the friendly confines of War Memorial Stadium. Instead, senior kicker Stuart Williams smacked a potentially game-winning 46-yard field goal off the right upright at the end of regulation, and junior running back Shaun Wick was bottled up on fourth-and-3 in overtime to seal the Cowboys' fate. Poor decision making in the final minutes cost the Cowboys a huge homecoming win. “We had the look that we wanted. We thought we could get outside," Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl said of Wyoming's unsuccessful final play. "We’re a running football team. Even though we had not run the ball great in the lion’s share of the football game, at the tail end of the ballgame we moved the ball fairly well.” The Cowboys have no one but themselves to balame for the homcomming debacle. After it was over, there wasn't much to say.“It’s very disappointing," Bohl said of his team's third consecutive loss. The Cowboys will have to regroup and go across the border and face Colorado State University.
