Weston Herring submitted the video to K2 Radio News one day after the crash that involved 16 vehicles. No children were on the school bus at the time of the crash.

Lt. Clint Haver of the Wyoming Highway Patrol said Tuesday that he does not believe any of the injuries to be life-threatening. In addition to the school bus, a commercial truck was also involved in the crash, which occurred Monday evening near the Beverly Street exit.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation on Tuesday, Haver said, but winter weather and slick roads likely played a role.

The key to avoiding such a crash, Haver emphasized, is for drivers to simply slow down.

The crash blocked traffic for some two and a half hours while first responders cleared the scene.
