Final Season of ‘American Idol’ Starts Tonight

Let's do it one last time! The final season of ‘American Idol’ will kick off tonight on Fox television. It’ll be the show’s 15th season and will be highlighted with tons of former contestants, former judges and musical artist appearances.  It promises to be an exciting season for country music fans, since the music format has had a dominate hand during the show last 14 seasons. That trend could very well continue into the final season as well in 2016.

FOX has released several videos promoting the final season to ramp up excitement without revealing too much info.

In the promo, contestants from across the years are shown in search of a life-changing experience and a dream, with shots of the next crop of hopefuls performing for the judges. This season promises more tears. There will be more smiles. There will also be more - for the lack of a better expression - horror, in the form of bad singers as well. Even in it's final season, this will be the 'American Idol’ that we've come to expect.
