THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RIVERTON HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR MUCH OF CENTRAL AND NORTHERN WYOMING.

FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.....INCLUDING THE WIND RIVER BASIN WITH THE EASTERN SLOPES OF THE WIND RIVER MOUNTAINS...BIG HORN BASIN...NATRONA AND JOHNSON COUNTIES...AND THE ABSAROKA MOUNTAINS.

* FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING

* DEVELOPING SHOWERS OVER THE AREA MAY CONTAIN PERIODS OF HEAVY

RAINFALL WHICH WILL FALL OVER ALREADY SATURATED SOILS.

ADDITIONALLY...SOME AREA RIVERS CONTINUE TO RUN NEAR BANKFULL.

THIS HEAVY RAIN MAY RESULT IN AREAS OF FLASH FLOODING THROUGH

THE LATE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS.

* ROCK OR MUD SLIDES WILL BE POSSIBLE IN STEEPLY SLOPED AREAS...

ESPECIALLY AROUND MOUNTAIN PASSES AND CANYONS INCLUDING WIND

RIVER CANYON.
