Garth Brooks Announces Nebraska Tour Dates
Garth Brooks has announced his first concerts in Nebraska in 17 years.
The country superstar and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, have announced two shows in Omaha in May. They will perform at the CenturyLink Center Omaha on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9 as part of their ongoing world tour.
That tour marks Brooks' return to the road after a long period of retirement.
Brooks released his most recent studio album, Man Against Machine, in November. The album’s first single was “People Loving People,” and its second single, “Mom,” has made a huge impact on social media. He is performing a mix of his past greatest hits and new songs on the current tour. Brooks received a platinum certification for Man Against Machine in January.
Yearwood’s most recent studio release is PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit, which mixes her greatest hits and new songs. The first single and title song, “PrizeFighter,” featured Kelly Clarkson on a duet. Yearwood’s current single, “I Remember You,” is an emotionally powerful ballad that pays tribute to her late mother and features her sister, Beth, on harmony vocals. She has also been featuring new music during the current tour.
Tickets for the dates in Omaha will go on sale Friday, March 27 at 10AM via Ticketmaster. There will be an eight ticket limit per purchase. All seats will cot $74.98. There will be no ticket sales at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on March 27.
