Even in the midst of the widespread economic downturn, Garth Brooks proved once again that the show must go on.

The Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau has just released the figures from Garth's nine sold-out shows at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.

They estimate that the concerts might have pumped as much as $10 million into the city's economy; this according to the Nashville Business Journal.  That total doesn't include revenue generated from hotel stays during the December 16th-22nd shows.  Way to Garth!!

Garth's own website states that the legend sold over 140,000 tickets, which in turn raised over $3.5 million for the Community Foundation Tennessee Flood Relief.

Our Nashville friends in low places certainly have had "those" prayers answered,  if you'll pardon the puns.
