George Strait Announces – He’s Riding Away

George Strait today announced his 2013-2014 The Cowboy Rides Away tour, will be his last.
And I for one am going to miss seeing George in Concert.
But the good news is that George did not mention that he is retiring – he’s only retiring from touring.
Of course fans across the country will be saddened by the news, but you should take comfort in that George will continue to record and produce music for MCA records. Plus George will continue to perform at select dates – he’s just going to stop touring. You can bet, I’ll take the opportunity to see George Strait perform on his final tour and
George Strait announced his final tour – The Cowboy Rides Away, featuring Martin McBride – will begin on Jan. 18th in Texas. Only the first 20 stops have been set, but I for one will be waiting for word on if his final tour will include a stop at Cheyenne Frontier Days or even a stop in Wyoming at all. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
That being said, I’m having a hard time picking my favorite George Strait song… If I had to choose – I’d have to say it’s “Easy Come, Easy Go”. What is yours?
