George Strait Invests In A Golf Resort

George Strait and a business partner, have invested in the Tapatio Springs Golf Resort - which is about 20 miles northwest of San Antonio, Texas, according to prnewswire.com. The two plan to transform it into a showcase resort.

Strait says, "I have lived near Boerne, and over the years, we've watched what was happening at Tapatio Springs, and we always believed it could be a real jewel. When the opportunity came up, we decided to go for it and make this dream come true."

George added, "We have begun our master plan and want the end result to be extraordinary." Referencing one of his signature hits, he quipped, "This may not be 'ocean front property,' but it's the next best thing."

Tapatio Springs Golf Resort was founded in 1981. It offers 27 holes of golf, a hotel, convention and meeting facilities, tennis, swimming and a fitness club.
