Come to Fort Caspar Museum this Saturday, January 26th, for some “Fun at the Fort.”

January’s program is a workshop on hand-tinting photographs in the manner of J.E. Stimson, the featured photographer in our current exhibit “Stimson Colors Wyoming.”

Stimson photographed Wyoming at the turn of 20th century, before the invention of color film, so to achieve color pictures, he used special paints on his prints. Participants can try their hands at coloring black-and-white images; all supplies will be provided.

Drop in between 1:00-3:30pm; no reservations are required. This program is for all ages and is free with museum admission. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Fort Caspar Museum’s winter hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission prices in winter are $1.50 for adults; $1.00 for youth (ages 13-18 years); FREE for children (12 years and younger) and for Museum members.
