You often hear about Wyoming's special places, its unique landscapes, and hidden treasures, but have you ever gotten the chance to actually explore any? The Wyoming Wilderness Association  is excited about being able to give you the chance, with a free guided hike into our Red Desert's Honeycomb Buttes.

The overnight hike takes place this Saturday, May 5th. Desert expert John Mionczynski is your guide through the  amazing "badland mazes, canyons and hidden grottos in the largest Wilderness Study Area in the Red Desert."

Hikers will also go "off-trail, across rocky escarpments, over badlands and through greasewood and sagebrush flats."

This event kicks off the WWA's series of summer outings, all in an effort to raise awareness and "give people in Wyoming the opportunity to explore wild places throughout our state that are worth protecting and make Wyoming special."
