‘Girls With Guns’ Movies – Rodeo Rick’s Top 5 [VIDEO]

We are celebrating Girls and Their Guns this month with our friends at Rocky Mountain Discount Sports!That started me thinking of all the movies that I've seen, where not only are women the hero or main character, but how many of them are sporting guns of their own.

Kill Bill Vol. 2 (2004) - The Bride

Uma Thurman continues her vengeance against her former boss - Bill - played by David Carradine. Quintin Tarantino's irreverent use of blood and violence turns Thurman in to one ruthless and sexy killer.
Yes, she's a master in martial arts. But there are also several scenes where she's quick with a gun.

Thelma and Louise (1991)

In this fun movie, an Arkansas waitress and a housewife shoot a rapist and take off on a run from the police in a '66 Thunderbird convertible.
Susan Surandon and Geena Davis play a pair of sexy gun toting ladies who are tough as nails.

Terminator 2 (1991) - Sarah Connor

Skynet, the 21st century computer waging a losing war on humans sends a second terminator back in time to destroy the leader of the human resistance while he is still a boy.
In Judgement Day - Terminator 2, the cyborg that once tried to kill Sarah Connor is now sent to protect her and her son John.
kudos to director James Cameron in the casting of Linda Hamilton to play the roll of the mother of the rebellion. A truly awesome selection!

Aliens (1986) - Ripley

When Sigourney Weaver started killing aliens in outer space in we all watched in horror. The planet from the original Alien movie has been colonized, but contact is lost. Some very impressive firepower!
The space thriller earns a spot in my top 5 - girls with guns list.

The Matrix (1999) - Trinity

A computer hacker learns from about what reality is really like from a set of mysterious rebels and the role he is to play in the war against its controllers.
The Matrix is still one of my all time favorite movies and who could forget the gun toting Carrie -Ann Moss as Trinity.
Over 10 years old and still one of my favorite movies.
