The Casper Recreation Division held the Hershey Track and Field Meet for young local athletes at Harry Geldein Stadium on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. The Hershey Youth Program, open to boys and girls 9-14 years old, gives young athletes an opportunity to challenge themselves in a variety of track and field events against other competitors within their age group. The event was free to all participants made possible by many volunteers. Everyone who placed first or second at the local meet is now eligible to complete at the Wyoming State Hershey Track and Field Meet to take place in Rock Springs on June 21, 2014. First place finishers at the State meet are eligible to be chosen to represent the Midwest Region at the National Hershey Track and Field Meet on August 2, 2014 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
