Häagen-Dazs has come up with a pretty cool reason to buy their ice cream the next time you're at the grocery store.  Or at least make a trip down the frozen treats aisle!

Recently, they put out a smartphone app that if you aim your phone's camera at the lid of a container of their ice cream, what looks like a hologram appears of a violin player that pops up from the top of the container and performs just for you.

The mini concerto is designed to play for the exact amount of time you should wait for your ice cream to soften up.

Then next time you are sharing ice cream with someone special, point the app at two and another player with a chello joins in.

I know this is kind of a geeky thing, but I think it's pretty cool as you'll see in this brief video I created to show off the app.
