Is There Too Much Oversharing Online? — Survey of the Day

It seems like more and more people are sharing more and more personal details on social media sites like Facebook. But is this a good thing, or have we entered into an era of too much cyber-sharing?
Intel polled 8,874 adults and teenagers in eight countries on this question. Sixty percent of the survey’s respondents answered that too much information was being divulged on the internet, with inappropriate photos, unsolicited opinions, profanity and details of daily life among the oversharing.
About ninety percent of those surveyed answered that people should be more conscious of what they are sharing on the internet in general.
