Jake Owen Joins Keith Urban on 2011 Get Closer Tour
January 25, 2011 9:18 AM I got the chance to take my daughter backstage to meet several artist at Cheyenne Frontier Days a couple of years ago. After a week of concerts, artist, rodeos and cowboys, I asked my little girl (14 at the time) “so, what was your favorite part of the past week? What did you think of the artists?”, expecting the answer to be… Taylor Swift (her favorite artist at the time).
Imagine a father’s surprise when my daughter thought for a split second and without missing a beat informed me… “Jake Owen! He smelt good!”
Jake Owen had a great day Friday, and he took to his Twitter account to reveal why: “You guys got the NEWS!!!!! I’m on tour ALL summer starting in June with Keith Urban!!!! I’m so excited I have to pee.” – via Taste of Country
I was extremely excited to hear that my buddy Jake Owen was going to be the opening act for Keith Urban during the upcoming summer leg of his “Get Closer Tour”. Jake is truly a great person and a great ambassador for country music.
