After spending last week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Singles Chart, Jason Aldean slides into the top slot on the Mediabase / Country Aircheck chart this week, in addition to holding his position on Billboard with his single ‘Take a Little Ride.’

After its initial release, the song became the fastest-moving country single of 2012, reaching No. 1 in just a matter of 10 weeks. Penned by Rodney Clawson, Dylan Altman and Jim McCormick, ‘Take a Little Ride’ marks Aldean’s sixth-consecutive No. 1 single.

“It’s awesome to see new music getting a reaction on radio and live at our shows,” Aldean says in a statement. “It’s always dicey adding new songs to your set before an album is out, and you never know how long it’s going to take a single to catch fire. This one went quick! The crowd is screaming for it even before we kick into the opening riff. It’s a good reminder of how important country radio has been, and continues to be, to my career. We have so many great songs on the new record, and I hope we get to release a lot of ‘em!”

Of course, this recent career achievement is no surprise for Aldean or his fans, despite his personal stumbles. The past few months have told one success story after another for the singer, setting the pace for him to have another hot album with ‘Night Train,’ which hits stores on October 16.

Waiting in line for their chance at No. 1 on the country charts are songs by Dustin Lynch (‘Cowboys and Angels’ at No. 2), Jana Kramer (‘Why Ya Wanna’ at No. 3) and Carrie Underwood (‘Blown Away’ at No. 4).
