Lionel Richie is going country.  Actually, he's been there before.  He wrote the song Deep River Woman, and performed it with Alabama.  He also composed Kenny Roger's huge hit, Lady.

So it's fitting with the increasingly growing popularity of the genre, that Lionel will have a new duets album for us this summer with many a favorite country star.

Rascal Flatts just announced that they'd be joining Lionel on the song, Dancing On The Ceiling. Jay Demarcus is quoted as saying, "'Dancing on the Ceiling' was one of our post songs that we would blast on the bus, like, our first five, six years together.  We all three rode on the same bus.  And we would get back after the show and, you know, you're still pumped up, you've got all this adrenaline going and one of the songs we'd play on our playlist was, 'Dancing on the Ceiling.'"

According to The Boot, songs already produced include Stuck On You with Darius Rucker, Sail On with Tim McGraw, Lady with Kenny Rogers, Easy with Willie Nelson, Deep River Woman with Little Big Town, You Are with Blake Shelton, and All Night Long with Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band.

Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland and the Zac Brown Band will also be featured on the new album.

Uh...hello!  Can't wait to hear this!  What do you think?
