Little Big Town vs. Hunter Hayes – The Showdown

This week’s Showdown features two new videos, as last week’s winner became the fourth song ever enshrined into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame. After winning four straight weeks in a row, ‘Drunk on You’ by Luke Bryan is being retired. This week, new songs from Little Big Town and Hunter Hayes will face off.

Little Big Town’s funky new single is about a lazy summer afternoon spent with friends on a lake. ‘Pontoon’ is the first single from their upcoming album, and the just-released video shows the group relaxing in their best beach wear with cold drinks, a hot barbecue and plenty of nothing to do. The song is a recent favorite of Miranda Lambert‘s, who tweeted “I’ve already listened to “Pontoon” by @LBTmusic 30 times today,” over Memorial Day weekend.

‘Wanted’ is the second single from Hayes’ self-titled album, released late last year. The ballad shows off the singer’s songwriting and singing talents. At a young age, Hayes is proving to be beyond his years in both confidence and emotion. It’s a fan favorite, but really every song on the album is a fan favorite.
