Making A Splash – Redneck Headlines

Recreational Vehicles are built for, well, recreation, but an RV that ended up in a pool was anything but fun.

A Brockton, Massachusetts, man crashed his camper through a fence and into his neighbor's swimming pool.

The 60-year-old driver reportedly suffered a health problem shortly before the 28-foot RV flew "through a metal fence, some bushes and logs" and landed in the pool.

Neighbors pulled the man from the camper before rescue workers arrived on scene. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials had to bring in a crane to remove the RV. (Yahoo)

Reality Bites

Two men directed their own arrest by staging a robbery – then claiming they were filming the whole thing for a reality show.

According to police in Pennsylvania, the suspects, two out-of-state men attending a technical college, approached their victims claiming that they were shooting a new reality show called “You Just Got Robbed.”

One of the men put the victims into headlocks while the other recorded the robbery on his phone.

They got 20 dollars from one of the victims before fleeing … but were apprehended and are soon to be starring in their own court appearance. (PennLive.com)

Making A Splash

An Oregon woman has been spending her summer swimming in public pools. Oh, yeah, and she’s doing it dressed as a mermaid.

Pauline Long, 56, has been seen frolicking in public pools around Portland wearing her homemade fins.

Long, who is part of a group known as The Northwest Mermaids, said she knows she isn’t a real mermaid − she is simply living out a childhood fantasy.

"I obviously know the difference, but it's just fun. It's freedom," Long said. "If you don't do it as a child, why not do it as an adult? Who says that you can't?" (UPI)
