Struggling with bitter cold the last few days, it's hard to imagine anyone bearing it worse than we have.  Well, we look like the Bahamas compared to what Australia is going through; a deadly cyclone the likes of which the continent/country hasn't faced since 1918.

Cyclone "Yasi" has been tearing across the north Queensland coast with severe rains and possible 180 mph winds.

Thousands of residents have been evacuted while thousands more have been turned away from shelters that are already at capacity levels...and the situation's only expected to get worse.  The Australian Military is on standby and high death counts are being predicted.

If this wasn't enough; Australia is still in recovery mode from a series of recent floods that have also brought mass devastation.  More of the story is available here.
