After trying several times to get pregnant, and having miscarriages, my wife and I were finally successful. My beautiful wife brought our daughter into this world @ 4:10 am, after 23 long hours of labor. That alone makes her Mom of the Year in my book! After giving birth, it was learned that our daughter had low oxygen levels and a fever. Later that morning, they took our daughter to the nursery so she could be put on oxygen. It was heartbreaking to watch my wife be in so much pain, and to not be able to hold, or even see the baby we wanted so badly. What should have been a wonderful day, turned upside down. She finally got to hold her the morning after, nearly 24 hours after giving birth. After 8 1/2 months, it is still hard for her to leave our daughter because she didn't get that time with her when she was born. No matter what comes up, my wife is the rock of the family, and has always put her family first. I admire her for being the strong willed person she is. I believe my wife deserves to be pampered, but more importantly, I believe she needs some time to herself to relax. Please consider my wife for Mom of the Year, as she is definitely #1 in our family! Thank you. (Submitted by Bo S.)

She is the only one that has been there for me when I was dealing with the terrible day to day life with an abuser, not only of drugs but me too. She was the one that continued to advise me away, but when I strayed she was there to stay. She has helped me see what I need to do to better my life for me and my children. She has pushed me to go back to school, which I will be graduating in Oct '12. My mom helps me with my 2 children. I work late hours so my mom is the one that goes and gets them and cares for them as I am working. She has been a tough mom growing up, but as I see what kind of person I am today I wouldn't change who I am. I would never change anything about my past because I see my mom, there by my side through tough times and great times. She is a mom who will never give up on you but lets you do as much as you can before she will step in. Its like she'll put the rope out for you but making sure that you will not fail. Thank you mom, if you are reading this for always being my guide and light at the end of the long tunnels I have ventured through. I love you! (Submitted by Kelly O.)

My wife is one of the most inspiring people I know. She devotes all her time, energy and self to our 1 year old daughter. Our daughter was born with a rare neurological disorder and wasn't expected to make it to birth. My wife makes sure that our daughter has the best doctors and therapies available to her, and I fully believe that she is the reason our daughter is doing so well. She makes sure that everyone else’s needs are met before her own. (Submitted by Tyler D.)

My mom works very hard.  She works full time for the state of Wyoming as a hearing officer, she owns Casper Martial Arts Academy & also owns OK Fine Productions.  That is a company which makes dummies for fire fighters,& police officers to train.  She is the grandmother to 5 wonderful kids.  She is a loving mom & wife & we all think she deserves a break in a big way.  I hope she can win this, so she can see that everything she does for everyone means the world to her family & friends.  My mom is AWESOME & works very hard every day.  We love her very much!!! 5.) My mom is not just the mom of the year she is the mom of the decade. She not only is an amazing mom she is an amazing person. Never passes judgement on anyone or treats any one less than great. My whole life she has been a giver! She gave to me and my brothers throught our childhood and now as adults. She worked 3 jobs to support our family when my dad got hurt. She was the back bone of our family when my brother died. She never gave up hope nor hung her head. Always strong and supportive with a warm beautiful smile on her face.
She is not only my mom but she is my best friend. She has loved me unconditionally my whole life, no matter what mistakes I have made. She encourages me lets me cry on her shoulder and offers the best support I could ever ask for.
This would be an amazing gift for her not only because she deserves it but because she never does anything for herself.  She cuts her own hair, paints her own nails becasue there "just isn't time" for that in her life. Its always the people around her who get what they need, never her.  (Submitted by Amy J.)

In 1997 my mother hurt her back while working as a certified nurses assistant. Till now she has continued to work outside the home to the point of barely being able to move. She retired in May of last year and has been working at home since. In September my husband, myself and our two children moved in with my parents. Even though she has back problems she spends continous hours cleaning, cooking, looking after her grandchildren and taking care of everyone the best she can. She truely is an Angel and deserves to have a little pampering.  (Submitted by Pamela M.)

My mom is the "My Country Mom of the Year" because she is simply amazing. She had 4 beautiful kids and raised them all to believe in themselves, be strong with what you say, and always know God is there for you. Her favorite quote is "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try again" She never let us feel like we failed and if we did feel we failed she taught us how to change it. She is one of those mom's that you look at and you just know how kind and beautiful she is inside and out. My mom is unbelievable, from a baby to the age of 24 she has never let me down. There isn’t one day I don’t call my mom just to hear her voice. When Im sad, mad or even just at work her voice is one of the most soothing and comforting voices. Just to know you have a mother like mine behind you at all times is a remarkable feeling. Now I could sit here and try to describe my mom with elaborate words but no word is good enough for my mom, she is indescribable. My mom deserves this day at the spa because she is more than the word "Mom" will ever mean! (Submitted by Sarah P.)

My mom is an amazingly strong woman. She has raised four girls, one with special needs. She has taught us how to be strong independent women, who knows the meaning of morals and values. She is always putting her family first, and never asks for time to herself. She has to work a full time job her entire life, and is now going to school full time for her Bachelors. My mom has worked hard her entire life, and a nice getaway for herself would be the best treat. (Submitted by Halie H.)
