Power shots, Energy Drinks, Soda's with multiple strength caffeine and now you can say hello to - AeroShot, a breathable energy shot.

The Food and Drug Administration announced yesterday that they'll investigate AeroShot Pure Energy, an inhalable caffeine product that's been on the market for about a month.

Breathable Foods, the company that makes AeroShot, said in a statement that the powder that comes packaged in small canister is "a safe, effective product that complies with FDA regulations."

However, the FDA is investigating the product's dietary supplement classification. For now, the product is being sold in convenience stores in Massachusetts, New York and France for $2.99.

Among those voicing concerns about the product is a New York Senator, who fears AeroShot will be abused by young people who drink excessive amounts of alcohol.
