I'm really looking forward to this Friday night. Four talented women whom I greatly admire will be collectively putting those talents on display in a brand new original play. Join me at Stage III Community Theatre this weekend for 'What Were We Talking About?'

'What We We Talking About' is an original play written by Linda Stoval, Gretchen Wheeler, Gale Alexander, and Vickie Cawthra, a.k.a the Wyoming Magnolias.

The 'Magnolias' met when all four participated in a Casper College Theatre production of Steel Magnolias back in 1990.  They had always hoped to all be able to work together on stage again, however with limited opportunities, the girls have taken matters into their own hands.

'What Were We Talking About' is an original play written by the this amazing quartet. It combines their own individual anecdotes with humor, sincerity, and an intimate look into how these dynamic bonds have only strengthened over their 20 plus years of friendship. Listen to Brian Scott talk with Gretchen about the play, here.

In addition to being able to take in these fun and lively performances, the weekend also serves to enlighten and raise a little awareness. Gale Alexander's granddaughter was born with Epidermolysis Bullosa, an incurable tissue disorder that causes painful tearing of the skin. Proceeds from ticket sales will go toward research and finding a cure for this terrible affliction.

'What Were We Talking About' plays Friday July 2oth, and Saturday July 21st, at 7:30 p.m at Stage III Theatre, 900 North Center. There will also be an afternoon matinee on July 22nd at 2:00 p.m.  Tickets are $10.00. Tickets are available at Meals on Wheels, The Messy Moose, Tomcats Books, Deb’s Fudge Kitchen or by calling Stage III at 307.234.0946.

Don't miss your chance to praise some fantastic local talent and enjoy a great night of live original theatre with 'What Were We Talking About.' I know I won't!
