Hey My Country fans!  A few months ago I posted a Hee Haw video on the Facebook page.  It got a lot of response and generated some nice comments, especially from people like me who grew up with the classic show.

There's been nothing like it since it went off the air, and it was once the premiere place for up-and-coming Country Artists to show their stuff--long before anyone had a web page or was part of a social network.

Hee Haw ran on television from 1969 until 1997.  For most of it's run, it was hosted by Roy Clark and Buck Owens.  It was referred to as a Country version of the popular Laugh-In,  and featured a "who's who" of artists, ranging from the "legends," like Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash, and Lacy J. Dalton, to some of our more contemporary performers, including Garth Brooks.  It was also chock full of Country Babes and featured skits and sketch comedy segments that many of us can still remember and sing along with.

So get the kids together and get them up-to-speed on a classic called Hee Haw.

Included in this post is a link to the official Hee Haw site, plus some funny outtakes from an already funny show.  Enjoy!
