A Colorado police officer was arrested on Wednesday evening on DWUI charges after being stopped for speeding while driving his patrol car.

Authorities report that two Colorado police officers took the drunken ride through Wyoming on their way to a funeral in South Dakota.

Officer Bradley Bickett of Aurora, CO. was booked into the Goshen Jail on charges of DWUI, careless driving and speeding.

Goshen County Sheriff Capt. Bryan Morehouse stopped officer Bickets cruiser after receiving an alert of a police car speeding, using its lights to pass slower traffic and throwing trash out of the car.

Capt. Morehouse had clocked the car doing 57 mph in a 40 mph zone and smelled alcohol and a cooler in the car when he stopped them.

The Aurora police force said the men would be placed in a non-uniform role while the case is investigated.
