Casper Police took two men into custody Friday morning after a search for stolen property resulted in the discovery of a probable methamphetamine lab, an officer said.

Police executed the search warrant at a house in the 1800 block of Bellaire Drive at 6 a.m, as part of a week-long investigation of stolen cars and parts, Mitch Baker said.

During the search, they found materials used to manufacture methamphetamine. They called in the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation for help, Baker said.

The Casper Fire-EMS Department's hazardous materials unit was called in to remove the materials, he said

However, law enforcement officers did not find any identifiable quantities of the drug, nor any firearms, Baker said.

There were no children in the house, he added.

Charges are pending against the suspects, who were not identified, Baker said.
